Company Information
BIOEARTH is a vibrant Somerset West based company focusing on the
research, development and manufacturing of gel-based cosmetics and
pharmaceuticals.
Our well known Medical Gels, the CRYSTAL GELS, include
ULTRASOUND, ELECTRODE, ARNICA MASSAGE & ULTRASOUND and the newly
developed MEDI-LUBE. The first three gels have been in production
since 1991.
Our Company's product research and developer, Hennie du Plessis,
holds a doctorate in chemistry. A pharmacist,
botanist, aromatherapy lecturer, clinical dietician and a marketer
completes the development team.
BIOEARTH has developed a unique range of BODY &
SKIN CARE,
HEALING, SPORT & OUTDOOR, SENSUAL and BABY gels. The finest quality
essential oils and herbs with cosmetic and healing properties are
suspended into a silky smooth, water soluble carrier gel. BIOEARTH
Gels apply easily, are non sticky, non flaky, dry quickly and do not
leave a residue on the skin. The formulations are remarkably
effective due to the rapid absorption of the gel with its active
ingredients through the skin into the circulation. An added bonus is
the pleasant natural aromas as well as a sense of well-being due to
mood enhancing properties inherent to some of the herbs and
essential oils. Our products do not contain animal by-products,
alcohol or artificial colourants nor are they tested on animals.
BIOEARTH GELS complement the movement to well-being through
natural solutions.
Most of our products are also relevant to the salon, hospitality,
spas and fitness industry. We do contract manufacturing as well,
which leaves the possibility of corporate branding. Some of our
lines are exported to the USA and Switzerland. All development are
done at Somerset West, in our laboratory, while manufacturing and
packaging takes place in our adjacent factory which is in the
process of obtaining ISO 9001 certification.
